Pre- E3: Xbox Live Diamond TV to debut at E3
posted by
Unknown
The software giant is close to finishing a key number of components for its full Xbox LIVE subscription TV service. Sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans revealed to WinRumors that the company is readying a demo for E3. The company is on lockdown for its big announcement and some demos and details might be held back if agreements are not in place in time. “Microsoft is currently in last minute negotiations to secure the necessary agreements in time,” said our anonymous source. “Apple is in a similar position, speaking to several media groups ahead of its iCloud announcement on Monday.”
If this story is true then I believe that many people will be canceling their cable bills and jump right over to the Xbox. This will be such a huge acquisition for Microsoft, because this will make the Xbox 360 one of the best set top boxes on the market, and in my opinion the best set top box on the market.

posted by

EDIT: According to this link, the above image was created in Adobe Photoshop and quite possibly a fake. HearMii would like to remind everyone that you should never believe something you get from the internet at face value unless you know the origin. In this case, the origin is unknown, and the image appears to be a fake.

Rumored Leaked Project Cafe Video
posted by
wiinewd
It's been several months since "Project Cafe" has been announced and as we get closer and closer to its official E3 reveal, any leak of info seems to be getting dimmer. Luckily for our HearMii users, today we have come upon an alleged leaked video of "Project Cafe" being demoed at a private Nintendo meeting.
HearMii cannot verify the authenticity of this video, nor do we claim to know about Project Cafe. However, in terms of rumors, this video is plausible.
Be sure to check back daily here at HearMii.com and to follow us on our Facebook and Twitter for exclusive news, previews, and reviews.

Nintendo 3DS coming to Europe March 2011?
posted by
Unknown
It appears that Nintendo of Europe might have jumped the gun too soon, because they might have announced the Nintendo 3DS release date sooner than expected. If this rumor is true Europe should have the 3DS in their hands on March 2011, and they will have Paper Mario 3D on March 25th, 2011.
If this release date is true, and Nintendo is sticking to releasing their products last for Europe; then I am predicting that America might get the 3DS in January or December. We will keep you updated as this story continues to develop.
Update: Reggie Fils-Aime said that they are planning on shipping the 3DS to all of their major markets on March 31st, 2011. No details were mentioned about specific release dates, but we will keep you posted.

Wii HD, more like Wii 3D
posted by
Unknown
It seems like it has been years that we have heard talks from Nintendo fans, and even the mainstream media that Nintendo will release a successor to Wii with High Definition capabilities. Nintendo has shot down all of those rumors, but now Nintendo is interested in making a successor to the Wii with 3D capabilities.
Nintendo's president Saturo Iwata informed the Japanese newspaper Nikkei that he is watching the 3D TV market very closely. He also said, “If you display a 3D image, the image quality becomes extremely bad, so we’d probably do it with the next system”, he said. “We’re thinking that the timing should be once the 3D television adoption rates crosses the 30% mark. We’re looking at the adoption trends.”
I really can't express anymore how much I hate 3D. It is such a gimmick. But if Nintendo can find away to make 3D work at home, then I might be a little sold on 3D. We will keep an eye on this story, as it continues to develop.

We all knew that Retro Studios were working on a secret project after they finished the Prime games, and today we might have finally figured out what their secret project is. According to IGN, they think that Retro Studio have been working on a new Donkey Kong game. We here at Hear Mii I highly excited for this, because it seems like anything Retro works on turns to gold. Hopefully this rumor is true, and we will find out if it is true this tuesday at nine in the morning.

Pre-E3: Animal Crossing in 3D(Rumor)
posted by
Unknown
Okay let me start off by saying that I absolutely can't stand 3D, but they're many people out there that really fall in love with 3D; if that wasn't true then Avatar wouldn't have been such a successful movie. But instead of me writing about how much I hate 3D, I will gladly tell you that I heard from numerous sources that Nintendo is expected to announce a Animal Crossing game for the 3DS. I am still at a loss for words about how Nintendo is actually going to show us the 3DS at their press conference, but I guess we will find out on Tuesday morning at 9:00.

RUMOR: Zelda Wii Details Leaked to the Internets
posted by
TheAssailant
- The game will be very different from the dungeon field dungeon method we are accustomed too (nothing new, Eiji Aonuma confirmed that last year).
- You will be able to select right or left handed at the start, and Link will be left or right handed based on your selection
- The gameplay and basic mechanics are complete.
- They are currently polishing up the story and Characters.
- One of the characters they are working on is a innkeeper in Link's home village who has a son that looks up to Link.
- The girl in the art is not the Master Sword, and it appears the Master Sword will not be in the game.
- The girls name from the painting could possibly be Adelle, Adella, or Aderu.
- She is not with you throughout the game like Ezlo and Midna.
- The face in the painting of her is not her real face. It's not fully elaborated on much, but it does say that it was a place holder concept art piece.(assuming the entire art itself was just concept work)
- Link's sword is highly unique in this game, and will have several unlockable abilities. Adelle (or whatever her final name becomes) communicates with you through this sword.
- There will be horseback combat. Epona will avoid obstacles automatically.
- The models for 3 significant characters in the game have been touched up, but no they are not Zelda or Ganondorf. (Google translate gives rough names of Link, Gorons, and Epona, but our translator said it's not specifically mentioned)
- The idea of this version of Link also being The Hero of Time has been highly considered, and may already be implemented.
- Time travel plays a roll in the game.
- The game takes place in more then just Hyrule, and may possibly not be Hyrule at all.
Some of it seems interesting, such as the part about choosing left or right (I assume because this will appeal to lefties for motion controls, or "Zelda purists", those self-entitled a-holes who need to stfu about what THEY want Nintendo to do) and anything else I made bold.

NBA Jam is coming to Wii(Rumor)
posted by
TheAssailant
Fresh off the rumors that the new game by EA Sports would coach players on football techniques on the Wii (i.e. NFL Trainer), ESPN’s sources are telling the sports giant that the new EA Sports game will in fact be an updated retail version of NBA Jam.
These unnamed sources told ESPN that the publisher recently acquired the rights from the NBA for the updated release and hired the games creator ,Mark Turmell, to consult. EA Sports is tight lipped at the moment about all this and wouldn’t comment instead just telling us to wait for their big announcement next week.
For those who aren’t familiar with the game due to age or whatever, NBA Jam was one of the first basketball arcade games and one of the first to include NBA teams with real digitized NBA players. In terms of its style, the words “arcade action” are an understatement as the game featured 2-on-2 B-ball madness with no rules other then no goal tending. Players could jump ridiculous heights and if a player made three baskets in a row they would be “on fire” and then the player could goal tend, have unlimited turbo, and increased shooting accuracy.
Oh my god, please let this be true. I have spent countless hours in the arcade when I was little, and reviving this game would make my inner child run around and scream inside me.

Nintendo Accidentally Reveals DSi Speak Channel, Bing has the Proof
posted by
TheAssailant
“To redeem a Nintendo DSi Download Ticket number, such as for the Nintendo DSi Speak Channel, enter the number off the Nintendo DSi Download Ticket in ‘Settings and Features’ off of the main Nintendo DSi Shop page, then select Nintendo DSi Download Ticket.”
It seems Nintendo's tech support team is had a bit of a SNAFU, accidentally posting the above quote in the Support section. They've since removed it, but it is still cached by Bing (and most likely, Google). You can take a look for yourself here.
Although one must wonder why someone would need a download ticket for a DSi Speak Channel when the Mic is built in... I say everyone hold off on getting a DS headset until more details are revealed.

Charles Martinet Drops Hints on Twitter About New Mario Game
posted by
TheAssailant
Big day tomorrow! Seattle for a new Mario game! Yippee!!! And just as a joke, it's going to rain....in San Francisco tomorrow!
Mama Mia!!!! I'm going to Seattle this week to record a new Mario game! Woo Hooo!!!!! I can hardly wait!!!!1
So apparently Charles Martinet also tweeted "Awesome new Mario Game! And it's not NSMB Wii, and it's not Galaxy 2, but it's going to be crazy fun!" although the tweet could not be found. So, yes, new Mario game, if of course this is the REAL Charles Martinet and not an imposter like the Professor Layton guy.

Ubisoft Grabs Various Red Steel Numbered Domains
posted by
TheAssailant
Not only is Ubisoft hard at work on Red Steel 2, they're also busy securing the domain names for any future installments...if those should happen. Ubisoft now owns RedSteel3, RedSteel4, and RedSteel5.com. This obviously doesn't point to plans for any future games, but it doesn't rule them out either.
I say people grab up redsteel6.com and piss Ubisoft off. Boy that will be an interesting story to read.
Looks like Ubisoft is really planning for the future. Like some old, smelly, hobo-throwing-spent-heroin-needles used to say, don't count your chickens before they hatch.

RUMOR: Wii Fit Plus Price and Bike Periph. Leaked
posted by
TheAssailant
Apparently Wii Fit Plus will cost USD$29.99 standalone and USD$99.99 for the Balance Board bundle. I am speechless about the cycling game, but I'm hoping that it is a 3rd party title. That will apparently cost USD$89.99 at retail with the game and bicycle peripheral.
