In a recent E3 Q&A session with many members of the press, Satura Iawa expressed why he really doesn't like Nintendo's efforts in online. Iwata says, “I have heard commentary that people feel that Nintendo’s online functionality is behind the others or is lacking in some ways. And I can say that we are not currently satisfied with the online efforts that we have made so far, and we are working at ways to improve those.” Although Iwata expressed his thoughts about the online, but he also says that a good offline experience is vital to a company.
I will have to agree with Iwata on this one, because obviously their online does need a lot of work, but they do have the best offline experience in the business.
