Def Jam Rapstar Coming October 5, Probably Got What I Need

Konami has announced that their new karaoke-based game is going to release on October 5. They also announced 7 new songs that will be in the game, and 2 backing beats for anyone wanting to try their hand at freestyle rap. You'll be able to buy the game an a mic for $59.99 on Wii or $69.99 on 360 and PS3.

I may or may not get this game, but only if they have a lot more 90s and early 00s rap than this new rap that sounds terrible (God forbid they put Soulja Boy in it). Of course, I need more Kanye too.

I'm also hoping that they're going to announce a secret mode for the 360 version allowing you to use Natal to dance to MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This". No seriously. It would be awesome. Just watch this music video.

Of course, it would help if the song was in the game first.

Oh right, here's the new songs announced:

Biz Markie                          Just A Friend
Drake                                 Best I Ever Had
Ice Cube                             It Was A Good Day
Outkast                               So Fresh, So Clean
Redman and Method Man   Da Rockwilder
Salt-N-Pepa                       Push It
Pete Rock & CL Smooth    They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)

At least they got Biz Markie, 2Pac and Biggie in the game...
